Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perrin Aybara!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Aybara.
Aybara lands with a straight right. Stevens didn't see that one coming.

Aybara manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stevens on his heels. He'll look to pass Stevens's guard now, I'm sure.

Aybara avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Stevens looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Aybara chips away with some ground and pound.
Aybara wants to pass the guard but Stevens is keeping the position.

Stevens isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Aybara stacks Stevens on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Aybara!

Stevens escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aybara gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Stevens has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Aybara can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Aybara has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Aybara shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stevens napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stevens gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Aybara looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Aybara seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stevens does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Aybara slips a nice elbow through Stevens's hands, connecting with Stevens's forehead.
Stevens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Aybara is nestled in close to Stevens, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aybara lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Aybara uses his free foot to push down on Stevens's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Stevens.

Aybara looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Stevens covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

A less than humble Perrin Aybara misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
