The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka wants to clinch.
Boyka misses with a straight right.
Boyka moves out of range of the body kick.
Boyka cracks a nice hook into Doolittle's ribs.
A decent looking cross lands there for Boyka.

Doolittle misses with a looping right.
Good exchange - Boyka coming out on top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boyka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Doolittle counters with a thumping low kick.
Boyka throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Doolittle blocks a head kick by Boyka.
Boyka throws a lazy right hand but Doolittle sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyka lands a body shot.
Boyka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Doolittle throws out the jab.
It looked like Boyka wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Boyka connects with a single shot there.
Doolittle connects with an inside leg kick.
Boyka scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Doolittle is rocked!

It looks like Doctor Doolittle has been cut.
Boyka throws a head kick but Doolittle moves out of range.
Doolittle throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Boyka tries to move into range but Doolittle moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Doolittle drops his hands momentarily and Boyka needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Doolittle just on the top of the head. Doolittle drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Doolittle - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Yuri Boyka!
Yuri Boyka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
