Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Payton (ranked 2287 p4p, 332 weight class) and Andy Chick (ranked 1830 p4p, 272 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chick ducks right into an uppercut from Payton.
Chick misses with a low kick.
Chick takes one on the button.
Payton slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Chick throws a looping overhand right but Payton ducks down to avoid it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Payton.

That was a close round but I would say that Evan Payton will probably get the nod.

Chick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Payton.
Payton stalks Chick and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Chick's face. Chick staggers backwards, shaken.

Payton tries to close the distance and clinch but Chick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chick lands a really nice looking cross but Payton seems unphased.
Chick with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Payton to score with a decent uppercut.

Payton turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Payton manages to end up in side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
