Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shirley Eaton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven Liamson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eaton has a takedown stuffed.
Liamson fails with a takedown attempt.
Eaton shoots in and drives through. Liamson sprawls well.
Liamson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Eaton defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Liamson darts in and clinches Eaton up against the cage.

Eaton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Liamson is trying to drag Eaton to the mat but Eaton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Liamson tries to break free but Eaton pushes him back against the cage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Eaton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Liamson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Eaton postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Liamson gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Eaton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Liamson defends it nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Eaton is trying to trip Liamson. He has hold of a leg but Liamson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Eaton persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Liamson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Eaton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Liamson.

Eaton is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
