Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karol Cropp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joseph has chosen Lamb of God-512 as his entrance music. Anthony Joseph has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 54 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karol Cropp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Joseph!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cropp displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Joseph throws out the jab.
Cropp throws a hook but Joseph avoids it easily.
Cropp fails to land the takedown.
Cropp connects with an inside leg kick.
Cropp has a takedown stuffed.
Joseph throws a front kick that sends Cropp stumbling back into the cage.
Joseph lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joseph feints and then cracks Cropp's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cropp down.

Cropp gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cropp in side control, throwing shots but Joseph defends.
Cropp creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Joseph sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Cropp tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joseph is looking to reverse the position.
Cropp cracks Joseph with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Cropp misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Cropp looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Joseph is avoiding damage well.
Cropp with the ground and pound but Joseph regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Cropp is trying to control. Joseph wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cropp lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.


It looks like Anthony Joseph has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cropp throwing shots but Joseph is blocking nicely.
Joseph regains full guard. Nicely done.
Joseph keeping moving, preventing Cropp from controlling successfully.
Cropp throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Joseph works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cropp working some strikes from top position.
Cropp landing with the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cropp trying to control but Joseph is working from the bottom.
Joseph is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Cropp trying to control the position from guard on top but Joseph is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Cropp throws a big right hand that misses.
Cropp throwing strikes from guard but Joseph blocks nicely.
Joseph seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Let's hope that Joseph has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Joseph working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cropp.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cropp scoring with some ground and pound.
Cropp preventing the sweep.
Joseph looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cropp accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cropp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cropp working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Cropp lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Joseph wants to stand and escape but Cropp is having none of it.
Cropp throwing strikes but missing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Joseph is on top in guard.

Joseph stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cropp swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Joseph is in close to Cropp's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Cropp is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Joseph postures up.
Joseph stays in close to Cropp's body and controls the position.
Cropp tries to strike from the bottom.
Joseph preventing the sweep.
Cropp trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Joseph wants to pass the guard but Cropp is keeping the position.
Joseph is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cropp looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joseph is one step ahead there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Joseph trying to control the position from guard on top but Cropp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Karol Cropp will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Anthony Joseph's cut.
That's time! Cropp's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Cropp missing with a left hand there. Joseph was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Joseph throws a wild hook but Cropp just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Joseph gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Cropp raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karol Cropp!
Karol Cropp really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Aspire Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
