PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leo Yaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ole NKone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yaj comes into the arena with Hey mr. DJ blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ole NKone was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

With a record of 26 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ole NKone!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NKone thows a left - swing and a miss!
NKone scores with a sloppy right hand. Yaj should have avoided that one.
Yaj doesn't manage to clinch there - NKone circles away.
NKone throws a jab but it's blocked by Yaj.
NKone ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
NKone throws a body punch but Yaj moves out of range.
NKone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yaj moves away.

Yaj gets the takedown into side control.
NKone is trying to control Yaj's posture but Yaj avoids it.
NKone is looking to reverse the position.
NKone felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Yaj cracks NKone with a big elbow.
I wouldn't like to be where NKone is right now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
NKone gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yaj frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Yaj cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Yaj is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Yaj controlling his opponent.
Yaj trying to control but NKone is having none of it.
NKone is trying to escape the mount.
Yaj thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

NKone is in all sorts of trouble here.
Yaj misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Yaj breaks from NKone's wrist control and lands an elbow.
NKone is trying desperately to improve position.
NKone holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Yaj tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Yaj misses with a head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Yaj cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

NKone is rocked!

NKone wants to hold on but Yaj pushes him away.
NKone is still in real trouble! Can Yaj finish him?
NKone is wriggling around trying to escape.
Yaj lands a heavy shot. That's hurt NKone! Yaj sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless NKone and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
