Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Osiris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Pique (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marco Pique told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osiris gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pique seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Pique thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Osiris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pique's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pique is on top in guard.

Pique seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pique is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Osiris is just riding it out for now. Pique eventually gives up the hold.

Osiris parries the strikes from Pique easily there. Pique is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Osiris to escape.

Pique is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Osiris is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Osiris moves out of range as Pique strikes.

Pique fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Osiris to the ground. Pique is now in Osiris's guard.
Osiris has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Osiris pushes Pique off looking to stand but Pique dives back in and keeps control.

Osiris lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.
Pique wants to lay and pray for a moment but Osiris keeps working.
Pique uses his free foot to push down on Osiris's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Osiris.

Pique throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Osiris has his hands clasped together but Pique breaks the hold and Osiris is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Pique!
