Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kampatimar Shankariya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A jab from Shankariya finds it's way through Smith's defenses.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shankariya manages to avoid it.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shankariya avoids a punch combination nicely.

Shankariya has Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith keeps control of Shankariya as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.
Shankariya managing to block the knees to the body from Smith.
Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Shankariya.
Shankariya has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shankariya breaks from the clinch.
Shankariya lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like John Smith has been cut.
Smith throws a right and a left that Shankariya avoids nicely.
Smith lands with a right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shankariya clinches up with Smith and pushes him back against the cage.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice leg kick lands there from Smith.
Shankariya checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Shankariya tries to clinch up but Smith circles away and keeps his distance.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith misses with a double jab.
Smith lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Smith throws a head kick but Shankariya moves out of range.
Smith batters Shankariya with a massive right followed by a huge left! Shankariya is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Smith lands a final crushing right hand to drop Shankariya to the mat with a gruesome thud! Smith is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Smith!
John Smith spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
