The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Budko gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jones cracks Budko with a solid left hand.
Jones works over Budko with some ground and pound from guard.

Jones stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Shawn Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Budko's half guard.
Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Budko wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Budko is trying to stand.
Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jones is taking a breather. Budko says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Budko wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones moves nicely into side control.

Jones stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jones decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Budko is looking to get back to is feet but Jones passes into side control.
