Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Butch Harris Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Raheem Nazir!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Harris Jr clinches up with Nazir and pushes him back against the cage.

Harris Jr drags the fight down to the ground.
Harris Jr keeping moving, preventing Nazir from controlling successfully.
Nazir throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nazir wants to control from the top but Harris Jr keeps moving.
Nazir throws a big elbow that misses.
Nazir throwing strikes but missing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris Jr is controlling Nazir's posture.
Nazir trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harris Jr is on top in guard.

Nazir throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Nazir looking to hit a scissor sweep but Harris Jr is one step ahead there.
Nazir wants to get back to his feet but Harris Jr is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Nazir wants to control but Harris Jr passes easily into half guard.
Harris Jr controlling the action here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nazir missing with punches from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nazir can do anything to dispel that myth.
Harris Jr works his foot free and advances to mount.
Nazir taking shots to the head.
Nazir tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Harris Jr looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harris Jr pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Harris Jr has control of Nazir's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nazir regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Harris Jr working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Harris Jr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Harris Jr landing strikes from the mount and Nazir is in trouble!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harris Jr controlling his opponent.
Harris Jr lands a big elbow.
Harris Jr controlling his opponent.
Harris Jr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Butch Harris Jr dominated that round.
That's time! Harris Jr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Harris Jr clinches.

Harris Jr gets control of Nazir's arms and successfully pulls guard. Harris Jr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Nazir must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Harris Jr has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nazir is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Harris Jr has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nazir is looking to defend but Harris Jr has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nazir! Harris Jr pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Nazir taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Butch Harris Jr!
