Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard De Villefort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Montana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
De Villefort ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Montana moves away.
De Villefort misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Montana.
De Villefort shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Montana as he jumps to the side.
A nice side step and Montana releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and De Villefort counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Antonio Montana has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Montana throws the kick towards the body but De Villefort avoids it.
De Villefort swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Montana wants to slow De Villefort down by chopping away at his legs.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

De Villefort gets control of Montana's arms and successfully pulls guard. De Villefort will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Montana is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
De Villefort is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
De Villefort has his foot on Montana's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Montana works his way back into a safe position though.

De Villefort is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Montana is aware though and is defending well.

Montana must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Montana is posturing up here but De Villefort has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Montana tries to roll out but it's too tight and Montana has to tap! Slick submission there by De Villefort!
