Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yordan Andonov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Tambling!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tambling, as that shot connected.
Andonov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
No luck for Andonov with that takedown attempt.
Andonov gets a double leg takedown into Tambling's guard.
Andonov postures up and lands a big shot to Tambling's brow.
Andonov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Andonov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Tambling working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Andonov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Andonov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tambling working for submissions but it's allowed Andonov to get to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Andonov lands a nice short elbow.
Andonov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Andonov works his way into full mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tambling really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

A nice elbow there by Andonov.
Andonov won't let Tambling get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Andonov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Tambling looks a forlorn figure.
Tambling is rocked!
Andonov drops a big elbow. That's hurt Tambling! More shots from Andonov and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yordan Andonov!
A relieved looking Yordan Andonov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
