The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meiueder loads up on a big right hand but Gracie slips the punch.
Gracie tries to clinch up but Meiueder circles away and keeps his distance.
Meiueder swats away the attempt to clinch by Gracie.
Gracie steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Meiueder.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A countering left hand to the body from Meiueder misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie moves in looking to clinch but Meiueder pushes him off.
Meiueder throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gracie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Meiueder sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Meiueder throws an overhand right that lands on Gracie's shoulder, as Gracie tries to avoid the shot.
Meiueder throws the kick towards the body but Gracie avoids it.
Meiueder takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses.
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
A little jabbing left from Meiueder on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Meiueder swivels and escapes.
As Gracie backs off Meiueder throws a huge counter combo but Gracie manages to avoid it all.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renato Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Meiueder sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Meiueder lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Meiueder.
Gracie avoids a punch combination nicely.

Meiueder wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Gracie's closed guard. He's half up but Gracie has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Gracie pivots and extends the arm, Meiueder falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Gracie! Well done that man!
