The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manuel scores with a nice head shot.
Manuel has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Penn misses with a body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Penn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Penn looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

A jab from Manuel does it's job there.
Manuel throws a looping overhand right but Penn ducks down to avoid it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Penn - that will leave a mark!
Penn throws a leg kick but Manuel moved away.
Manuel swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Penn tries to move into range but Manuel moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Penn connects with a jab.
Manuel throws a hook to the side of Penn's head but Penn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Penn seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Penn bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Manuel thows a left - swing and a miss!
Manuel steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Penn. That one must have hurt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Manuel throws a nice looking combination but Penn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Penn throws a quick counter head kick but Manuel was just out of range.

enabling Penn to counter with a crisp jab.
Penn dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Manuel. That did some damage!

Manuel throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Good standup being displayed there by Manuel as he connects with a hook.
Penn gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Manuel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Manuel moves forwards but Penn connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manuel gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Penn.
Penn scores with a push kick.
Manuel changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Manuel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Penn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Manuel throws out the jab.

Manuel takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Manuel looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Penn is looking to score with low kicks.
Penn is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Manuel misses with an uppercut.

Penn lands with a nice body punch.
Penn looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Penn throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Manuel on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Manuel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Oh Penn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Penn switches off momentarily and Manuel cracks him with a monster right hand! Penn topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Manuel dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Manuel!

Our winner, Peter Manuel, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
