Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerrald James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spank Crank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Gerrald James has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Gerrald James seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Crank has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Crank closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gerrald James will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from James lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Crank has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Crank and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

I was talking to James's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Crank slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
