PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drake rushes Jensen and presses him up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Drake's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jensen gets underhooks to prevent Drake's takedown attempt.

Drake manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Drake pulls Jensen in to control the position.
Jensen throws an elbow that misses. Drake uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jensen's guard. Nice move by Drake!

Jensen is looking for a triangle but Drake pushes his legs off easily.

Jensen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Drake defends it easily.
Jensen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Drake manages to get himself to full guard.

Drake wants to get back to his feet but Jensen passes into half guard.
Jensen wants to free his trapped foot but Drake is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jensen is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Drake can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Let's hope that Jensen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Jensen has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Drake doesn't defend quickly enough and Jensen has managed to lock this one up! Can Drake escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jensen on a fantastic submission victory.
