Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Kravac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, William Booth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Samuel Kravac!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kravac throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Booth's waist but Booth gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kravac off to one side.
Kravac tries to score a power double leg takedown but Booth sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kravac somewhat.
Samuel Kravac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Booth pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kravac shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Booth counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
William Booth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Kravac.
Booth throws a hook to the side of Kravac's head but Kravac sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Booth displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kravac.
Booth defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kravac.
Booth lands a slapping body shot.
Booth keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Booth rushes Kravac and presses him up against the ropes.
Booth with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Booth pushes Kravac back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Booth is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kravac is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Booth to the mat. Booth regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kravac drops back looking for a leg! Booth is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Booth manages to kick Kravac off! Kravac jumps back into Booth's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kravac slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Kravac tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kravac has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Booth on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Booth tries to get out of the position.

Kravac tries for a kimura but Booth is defending well.
Booth tries to buck Kravac off but Kravac is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kravac advances to full mount.
Kravac lands a couple of good shots and Booth has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Kravac is looking for the choke from the back position but Booth is controlling his hands well.
Booth wants to get back to his feet.
Kravac is hanging on to Booth's back as he tries to escape.
Well, with Kravac on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Booth is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Kravac is punishing Booth with some ground and pound.

Booth tries to roll but Kravac sticks to his back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kravac has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Kravac controlling well, preventing Booth from escaping the position.
Kravac has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kravac is working for a rear naked choke. Booth is not defending it well and Kravac has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Booth refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Booth's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Samuel Kravac!
