Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abraham Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden's entrance music is Pixies - Where is my Mind. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dom Reeves!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A nice side step and Reeves releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Durden tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Reeves counters with a left and a right that stings Durden.
Durden tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reeves manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Durden wants to clinch
and Reeves cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Durden moves in looking to clinch but Reeves pushes him off.
Reeves doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Durden clinches up with Reeves and pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reeves tries to circle away but Durden has him pinned against the cage.

Reeves blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Still in the clinch, Durden scores with a nice short uppercut.
Reeves is trying to break the clinch but Durden has him pressed against the cage.
Durden swings wildly with an uppercut but Reeves uses good head movement to avoid it.
Durden struggles to land a body shot inside as Reeves controls his hands.
Reeves has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Reeves can't break the clinch.
Reeves wants to break free but Durden has control.

Durden has Reeves pressed against the cage, preventing Reeves from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Durden keeps control of Reeves as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Durden tries to work over Reeves's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Durden can't find room to land a body shot as Reeves controls the action.

Reeves is rocked!
Durden lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Reeves to his knees! Durden keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abraham Durden!
In his post fight interview, Abraham Durden started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
