The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thrower keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zaad misses with a body shot.
Sloppy strikes from Zaad. Those never looked like landing.
No joy there for Thrower, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zaad has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crapollas Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Zaad is looking to chop away at Thrower's legs.
Nice body punch from Zaad.
Thrower fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Zaad lands a nice shot to the body.
Thrower moves forwards but Zaad connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Zaad connects with a body shot.
Zaad digs a good body shot into Thrower's ribs.
Thrower throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Zaad's waist but Zaad gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thrower off to one side.
Thrower looks winded!
Zaad lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaad works Thrower's body with a nice hook.
Zaad throws a shot to the body.
Zaad jabs Thrower to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Zaad throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Thrower crashing down! Thrower tries to stagger back to his feet but Zaad just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Thrower asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chara Zaad!
