Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Jourgensen!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jourgensen digs a good body shot into Asikainen's ribs.
Jourgensen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Asikainen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Some bone on bone action there as Jourgensen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jourgensen moves in looking to clinch but Asikainen pushes him off.
Asikainen lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Asikainen scores with the left hand. Jourgensen knows he should have avoided that one.


It looks like Al Jourgensen has been cut.
Asikainen scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jourgensen tries to clinch but Asikainen is having none of it.

Asikainen clinches up with Jourgensen and pushes him back against the ropes.

Jourgensen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Al Jourgensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jourgensen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Asikainen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Asikainen throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jourgensen throws out a counter right but Asikainen avoids it with no problem.
Asikainen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Jourgensen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Asikainen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jourgensen clinches.
Asikainen tries to land knees in the clinch but Jourgensen avoids the damage to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Asikainen breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Asikainen has closed the distance and engaged Jourgensen in a clinch.

Asikainen breaks from the clinch.
Asikainen misses with a wild combination.
Asikainen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Asikainen swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Al Jourgensen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Asikainen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A combination from Jourgensen does no damage.
Jourgensen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jourgensen scores with a nice right hand.
Jourgensen's coach down at Rip Shit Riot Yoga Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jourgensen's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Asikainen dodges the punch combination from Jourgensen.
Jourgensen stalks Asikainen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Asikainen's face. Asikainen staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Vesa Asikainen has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jourgensen works Asikainen's body with a nice hook.

Jourgensen scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Asikainen to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Jourgensen away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Asikainen got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!


Asikainen is rocked!
Asikainen is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Jourgensen doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Asikainen crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Asikainen's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Al Jourgensen!
Al Jourgensen tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
