Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bernhard Adelhard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Fenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adelhard comes to the cage accompanied by Godsmack - I Stand Alone. Fenix is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by For Heavy Metal we will die!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fenix closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Adelhard is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

We've been hearing good reports from Adelhard's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Adelhard is not content to let Fenix control the position.

Adelhard is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fenix is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Adelhard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Fenix smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Adelhard lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Adelhard.
Fenix misses with an uppercut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fenix is defended easily by Adelhard.

Adelhard looks to land a left hand but Fenix moved out of range nicely.

Adelhard lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Fenix tries to buck Adelhard off but Adelhard is having none of it.
Adelhard sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fenix is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Fenix is not content to let Adelhard control the position.

Fenix takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Adelhard looking to break Fenix's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Fenix remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Adelhard will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Fenix tries to escape but Adelhard has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Adelhard has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Fenix has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Fenix covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
