The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ritchey moves into range and clinches up with Marcos.
Marcos looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Ritchey pulls guard successfully.

Ritchey is looking for a triangle but Marcos pushes his legs off easily.
Our spies down at at Kung Fu Fighting Club ($299 entry fee) inform us that Ritchey has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Ritchey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marcos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ritchey is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ritchey is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marcos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Marcos gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Marcos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ritchey.

Marcos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ritchey to the ground. Marcos is now in Ritchey's guard.
Marcos is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Ritchey is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marcos defends well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ritchey can do anything to dispel that myth.
