Hicks comes into the arena with the Illuminati blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews misses with a double jab.
Matthews throws out a loose jab but Hicks uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hicks avoids the body shot from Matthews.

Hicks swings for the body but Matthews moves out of range.
Matthews throws an overhand right that lands on Hicks's shoulder, as Hicks tries to avoid the shot.

I was talking to Hicks's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
