Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luigi Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Original Nuttah kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Lee Sin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Luigi Bates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Sin!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sin looks to land a right hand but Bates moved out of range.
Luigi Bates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bates changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bates is trying to get an arm triangle but Sin is defending well.

Bates goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sin rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Bates's guard! Nice work there by Sin!

Sin wants to control from the top but Bates keeps moving.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bates throws his legs up looking for a submission but Sin uses it to pass to side control.
Bates is trying to escape the position but Sin is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sin is looking to take a break and control but Bates is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bates is looking for a sweep.
Sin controls the position.
Sin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bates keeps working.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bates tries to bench press Sin off him but Sin keeps the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bates lands with a good body shot.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Bates misses with a straight left.
Bates ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sin moves away.

and Sin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Bates wants to clinch.
Sin ducks under a wild hook from Bates.
Sin flicks out a counter leg kick but Bates steps away.
Bates fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sin scores with a hook.
Lee Sin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bates scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bates throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bates tries to clinch there but Sin circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bates is defended easily by Sin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Sin dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bates has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bates there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sin misses with an uppercut. Bates saw that one coming.
Bates tries to counter by clinching up but Sin breaks away and moves out of range.
Bates tries to clinch up but Sin circles away and keeps his distance.
Bates fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sin on the side of the head.
Sin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bates.
Sin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Bates lunges at Sin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sin's hand.
Sin moves away from the strike by Bates.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sin stuffs the takedown.
Bates changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bates throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Sin misses with an uppercut.
Sin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Bates gets a clinch.
Sin misses with a knee strike.
Sin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Sin has a couple of punches blocked by Bates.
Bates misses with the head strike.
Bates tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bates pushes Sin back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bates can't find room to land a body shot as Sin controls the action.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bates takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Sin gets through Bates's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Sin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Bates is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Sin is keeping busy.

Bates tries to throw a body punch but Sin avoids it by throwing Bates back against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Sin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bates swings wildly with an uppercut but Sin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sin's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sin crunches a lovely knee into Bates's ribcage.

Sin tries a body shot but Bates blocks it.
Sin tries to work over Bates's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Bates has Sin pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sin manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

A close second round but Lee Sin will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Bates looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sin is fending him off so far but Bates persists. Nope, Sin circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Sin counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bates's knee momentarily.

Oh Bates is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sin tests Bates's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bates leaves his chin hanging out and Sin seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Bates crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
