Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gavin Gagnon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rosco Ladd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gagnon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hand Clap by Fitz and the Tantrums. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gagnon throws a right and a left that Ladd avoids nicely.
Gagnon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ladd lands a nice looking body shot.
Ladd ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gagnon moves away.
Gagnon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ladd but Ladd pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gagnon throws a wild body kick that Ladd sees coming a mile off.
Ladd avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ladd appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Gagnon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ladd.
Gagnon misses with a double jab
and Ladd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gagnon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ladd sprawls well. Ladd wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gagnon gets slowly back to his feet.

Gagnon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ladd moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ladd now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Ladd stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ladd lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gagnon at a distance.
A head kick misses from Gagnon.
Gagnon needs to keep his hands up - Ladd had a free shot at his head there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gagnon throws a series of punches but Ladd moves out of range.

and Ladd counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Gagnon closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ladd quickly recovers to half guard.
Ladd pushes Gagnon off looking to stand but Gagnon dives back in and keeps control.

Ladd is looking to control Gagnon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ladd avoid being mounted?

Gagnon sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ladd defending well though.
Ladd is pressing down on Gagnon's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Gagnon trying to control the position from guard on top but Ladd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gagnon wants to control from the top but Ladd keeps moving.
Gagnon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ladd swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ladd controls Gagnon momentarily but Gagnon frees himself.

Gagnon lying in Ladd's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Ladd decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Gagnon taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
