Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pelle Paniikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Armis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paniikki comes to the cage accompanied by N'sync - Bye Bye Bye. Armis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mortal Kombat Theme. Eli Armis has the better chin. Paniikki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Armis on his heels. He'll look to pass Armis's guard now, I'm sure.

Armis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paniikki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Armis has managed to get both his arms back between Paniikki's legs - danger averted.

Armis is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Paniikki is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Paniikki flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Armis anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Paniikki and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Armis slips an arm under Paniikki chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Armis has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Armis is squeezing on Paniikki like an anaconda would it's prey. Paniikki fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Eli Armis!
Eli Armis is the new lightweight champion!
After winning the bout, Eli Armis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
