Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sean Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie DeCicco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frankie DeCicco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean Rice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Frankie DeCicco!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rice closes the distance and clinches.
A frustrated look appears on Rice's face as he tries to break the clinch.
DeCicco is trying to drag Rice to the mat but Rice just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

DeCicco has picked Rice up - he's going for a ride! DeCicco dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Rice wants to stand back up but DeCicco manages to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rice tries to buck DeCicco off but DeCicco is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

DeCicco decides to stand back up.
Rice really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rice shoots in for a takedown but DeCicco shows good takedown defense.
DeCicco fails in his attempt to clinch.
DeCicco fails with the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
DeCicco slaps away a takedown attempt from Rice, before circling back to the center of the mat.
DeCicco tries to counter with a clinch but Rice shakes him off and moves away.

Rice takes the fight into the clinch.
Rice connects with a nasty looking knee right to DeCicco's face.
DeCicco is trying to force a seperation but Rice has the dominant position.

DeCicco ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. DeCicco no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
DeCicco seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

DeCicco escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rice gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rice postures up.
DeCicco has Rice pulled in close to control his posture.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now DeCicco is on top in guard.

Rice will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Rice wants to sweep but no luck.
Rice wants to control but DeCicco passes easily into half guard.
DeCicco is trying to control the action in half guard but Rice is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rice is trying to get back to full guard.
DeCicco wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rice keeps working.
Rice is looking to control DeCicco's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rice avoid being mounted?
DeCicco seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Rice wants to improve his position but DeCicco is controlling well.
Rice wants to control but DeCicco passes into side.
Rice is looking to reverse the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rice struggling a bit here.

DeCicco working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
DeCicco slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Rice.
Rice is trying desperately to improve position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
DeCicco with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Rice wants to hold on but DeCicco pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frankie DeCicco dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


DeCicco tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rice swats him away and circles back towards the center.
DeCicco misses with a combination
and Rice makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. DeCicco really felt that one!
Rice looks for a takedown but DeCicco sprawls well.

Rice tries to sprawl but DeCicco drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Rice tries to kick DeCicco off in order to stand up. DeCicco Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

DeCicco has hold of Rice's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Rice seems comfortable defending it but DeCicco has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Rice is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rice is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but DeCicco couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Frankie DeCicco!
