PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brotha Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tupac - Last Muthafucka Breathin'. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mac on the side of the head.
Gracie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mac circles away quickly and effectively.
Mac appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Gracie dips to his left and cracks Mac with an uppercut!
No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gracie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Gracie moves in looking to clinch but Mac pushes him off.
Gracie throws a right and a left that Mac avoids nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Mac as he connects with a hook.
Mac buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Gracie postures up in Mac's guard and throws a big left but Mac blocks it.
Mac utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Gracie counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gracie.

Gracie has been working on his balance at Touch Of Death Combat Academy, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Mac.
Mac takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

That was a close round but I would say that Brotha Gracie will probably get the nod.

Mac pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Big Mac seems to be getting the better of the standup.

It looked like Gracie was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
