The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Valentinovich.
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Valentinovich moves out of range easily.
Valentinovich misses with a wild combination.
Gracie moves out of range of the strikes.
Valentinovich just misses with a punch to the body.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Valentinovich scores with a nice right hand.
Nice uppercut there from Valentinovich.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valentinovich feints and then cracks Gracie 's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.
Gracie throws an off balance right hand
and Valentinovich counters with a nice leg kick.
Valentinovich misses with a straight left.

Gracie closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Valentinovich.
Valentinovich moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Valentinovich lands a big head kick that sends Gracie to the canvas! Valentinovich follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
