Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kumo LaRusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyota Miyazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think LaRusso might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The crystal method-coming back. Kiyota Miyazaki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kumo LaRusso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kiyota Miyazaki!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaRusso throws a looping overhand right but Miyazaki ducks down to avoid it.
Miyazaki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A swing and a miss from LaRusso.
Miyazaki tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
LaRusso darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Miyazaki swats away the attempt to clinch by LaRusso.
A nice combination there by LaRusso.
Kumo LaRusso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miyazaki blocks a jab.

LaRusso is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

LaRusso pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Miyazaki back to the cage. LaRusso follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Kumo LaRusso is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That was a close round but I would say that Kumo LaRusso will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A punch lands to the side of Miyazaki 's head but he takes it in his stride.

And Miyazaki tries to counter it with a takedown but LaRusso pushes his down on his head and steps out.

We've been informed that Miyazaki has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miyazaki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. LaRusso looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
LaRusso takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kumo LaRusso will probably get the nod.

LaRusso swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

LaRusso throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
LaRusso looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
LaRusso leaves Miyazaki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Miyazaki closes the distance and clinches up with LaRusso, looking for a takedown. Miyazaki pushes LaRusso against the cage but LaRusso circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Miyazaki shoots for a takedown but LaRusso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

LaRusso stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

LaRusso connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
LaRusso tests Miyazaki's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
LaRusso lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


Miyazaki is rocked!
LaRusso lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Miyazaki falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kumo LaRusso!
In his post fight interview, Kumo LaRusso gave a big smile as he said 'Grownstone KO'd you and now I beat you senseless...I think it's time to hang up the gloves ya bum'.
