Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veri pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bell tries for a takedown but Veri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Veri drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bell defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Veri on the ground.
Veri drops back, looking for a kneebar! Bell looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Bell looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Bell!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bell is defended easily by Veri.
Bell lands a really nice looking cross but Veri seems unphased.
It looks like Pol Veri has been cut.

and Veri decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bell's guard.

Veri might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bell haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Veri stands and throws Bell's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Veri tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Veri has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Veri advances nicely into full mount.
Veri swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

Pol Veri seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
