Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ozamataz Buckshank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cole comes to the cage accompanied by I Won't Back Down. Ozamataz Buckshank will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Cole!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ozamataz Buckshank!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole looks to land a right hand but Buckshank moved out of range.

Buckshank closes the distance and clinches.
A head punch on the inside from Buckshank fails to land.
Buckshank goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Buckshank swings away with an uppercut that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cole.
Cole has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Buckshank avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Buckshank fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Cole stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Cole tries to score a body lock takedown but Buckshank shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Buckshank swings wildly with an uppercut but Cole uses good head movement to avoid it.
Buckshank softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
We've been hearing reports that Cole has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Cole blocking some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Buckshank tries to work over Cole's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Buckshank misses with a punch to the body.
Cole doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Cole lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Cole lands on the inside with an uppercut.


It looks like Ozamataz Buckshank has been cut.

Cole has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Buckshank is trying to keep an underhook but Cole manages to get the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cole connects with a nice short shot to Buckshank's temple.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cole prevents Buckshank from improving his position.

Cole is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Buckshank sees it coming and defends easily.
Buckshank on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.


Buckshank is rocked!

Cole is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Buckshank doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cole.
Buckshank is looking to improve his position.
Cole lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Cole is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Buckshank wants to improve his position but Cole is controlling well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cole trying to control the action but Buckshank is working from the bottom.
Cole working Buckshank over with strikes.
Cole is nestled in close to Buckshank, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Buckshank is still in real trouble! Can Cole finish him?
Cole seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Buckshank is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Buckshank is looking to control Cole's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buckshank avoid being mounted?
Cole lands strikes from half guard.
Cole lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Buckshank quite badly. Buckshank pulls Cole in close trying to recover. Cole postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Buckshank on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Buckshank doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Cole!
Michael Cole is the new middleweight champion!
Michael Cole gave a mention to MayheM sportswear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
