The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutphin misses with a takedown
and Cleveland counters with a three punch combo that has Sutphin backing up. Sutphin nods at Cleveland to acknowledge the strikes.
Sutphin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cleveland napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sutphin creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cleveland sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sutphin stands up.
Sutphin shoots in and drives through. Cleveland sprawls well.
Sutphin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sutphin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sutphin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cleveland defends it well.

Sutphin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cleveland does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sutphin postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Cleveland covers up, he's hurt! Sutphin keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sutphin and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sutphin can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
