Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kahne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maarten Bokhorst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bokhorst comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lil Wayne - Drop The World ft. Eminem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Kahne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maarten Bokhorst!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bokhorst cracks Kahne with a good jab.
Bokhorst lands a slapping body shot.
Kahne throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bokhorst.
Kahne lands with a nice body punch.

so Kahne counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bokhorst is looking for a triangle but Kahne pushes his legs off easily.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Bokhorst working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Bokhorst is fighting to break Kahne's control of his arms but Kahne is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kahne is looking to control Bokhorst's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kahne avoid being mounted?

Maarten Bokhorst seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kahne does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bokhorst lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kahne will feel that in the morning.
Kahne avoids the body shot from Bokhorst.
Bokhorst misses with a straight right.
Kahne throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bokhorst sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kahne shoots in for a takedown but Bokhorst shows good takedown defense.

Kahne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bokhorst gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kahne lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Bokhorst is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
