The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hay swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hay tries to bum rush Mendez with a series of wild strikes but Mendez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Oooooh!!! Hay has knocked Mendez down with a huge combo! Hay steps away and waves a wobbly Mendez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Tiago Mendez has been cut.
Mendez looks for the body kick but Hay saw that one coming.
We've been told by Hay's head coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Hay has Mendez up against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hay breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mendez throws a wild hook but Hay just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Mendez gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Hay raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
