The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wolf takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A big left from Devereaux misses.
Wolf tries to move into range but Devereaux moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Wolf tries for a takedown but Devereaux sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Wolf darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Paul Devereaux has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Devereaux gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wolf.
Wolf wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Howlin Wolf. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wolf is working for takedown but Devereaux is calmly controlling the position for now.
Devereaux stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Wolf drops down looking for an ankle pick but Devereaux pulls his leg out and moves away.

Devereaux let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Wolf throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Devereaux on the side of the head.
Devereaux lands with a hook. Wolf tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Howlin Wolf has been cut.
Paul Devereaux is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wolf will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A countering left hand to the body from Devereaux misses.
Devereaux keeps the fight on the outside.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Devereaux! But no joy.
Wolf throws a hook but Devereaux avoids it easily.

Wolf fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A lazy left from Wolf finds it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wolf tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Devereaux was well out of range. Poor timing from Wolf.
Devereaux now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Devereaux fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Wolf throws a hook to the side of Devereaux's head but Devereaux sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
It seemed like Devereaux was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Wolf misses with a straight left.
Devereaux slips a jab from Wolf.
Devereaux bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wolf's head backwards.
A punch lands to the side of Wolf 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Wolf lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That has opened up Paul Devereaux's cut even more.
Wolf rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Devereaux counters with a nice body shot.
Wolf's corner calls for a 1-2. Wolf obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Wolf takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wolf is breathing heavily.
Devereaux scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Devereaux throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Wolf colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Devereaux as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Wolf is left battered and dazed whilst Devereaux and his camp cheer!
