Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Axl Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Fenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose comes to the cage accompanied by You Could Be Mine. Fenix is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fenix fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rose.
Fenix lands with a slapping head kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fenix.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fenix lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rose has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rose and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Fenix pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rose lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Tristan Fenix has been cut.
Fenix bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rose's head.
Rose lands a jab to Fenix's midsection.
Fenix darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fenix lands with a good body shot.
Fenix misses with a wild combination.

Fenix throws a hook but Rose blocks it.
Rose goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fenix changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Rose throws a jab but it's blocked by Fenix.
Rose is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Rose takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
An attempted straight right counter from Rose misses the target.
Rose thuds a left hand into Fenix's body.
Rose avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Rose swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Rose connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rose displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fenix throws out the jab.

Rose is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Fenix counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Fenix throws a hook to the side of Rose's head but Rose sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fenix has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A low kick from Fenix misses
and Rose counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fenix thuds his right hand into Rose's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Rose moves out of range as Fenix strikes.
It looked like Rose was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fenix.
Fenix throws a sloppy head kick

Rose throws a chopping leg kick but Fenix manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Rose counters with a good low kick that Fenix was not able to check.

Good leg kick by Fenix there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fenix misses with a low kick as Rose jumps back.

Rose thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Fenix if he has to take too many more of those.
Axl Rose is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circling - Fenix throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rose catches Fenix with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Fenix shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rose as he jumps to the side.
Rose misses with a low kick.
Rose throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It seemed like Fenix was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Rose fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fenix on the side of the head.

Fenix throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rose tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fenix is in Rose's guard.

Fenix throws a strike but Rose rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fenix working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rose doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rose manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rose wants to control from the top but Fenix keeps moving.
Rose wants to pass the guard but Fenix is keeping the position.
Fenix is trying to control the position but Rose postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fenix keeping moving, preventing Rose from controlling successfully.
Rose stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fenix swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rose drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fenix looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fenix looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fenix!

Fenix creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That was a close round but I would say that Axl Rose will probably get the nod.

Fenix tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rose swivels and escapes.
Rose throws a body punch but Fenix moves out of range.

Fenix lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Fenix.

Fenix fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Rose takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Fenix throws a one two combo.
Fenix throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fenix shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rose eats them both and turns towards Fenix to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Rose uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Fenix chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rose can pounce on him.
Fenix tries a low kick but Rose avoids it.
As Fenix backs away, Rose returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Fenix walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rose.

Fenix throws a leg kick but Rose sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Rose swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fenix.

That has opened up Tristan Fenix's cut even more.

Rose tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fenix was well out of range. Poor timing from Rose.
Rose tests Fenix's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Fenix is rocked!
Rose throws a poor cross that misses
and Fenix counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rose's knee momentarily.
Fenix is still on wobbly legs! Can Rose finish him?

Fenix works the jab nicely.
Fenix seems to have recovered his senses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fenix misses with an uppercut
and Rose counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fenix throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rose sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fenix will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Axl Rose has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tristan Fenix.

It looked like Rose wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Rose swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rose moves away from the strike by Fenix.
Fenix looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fenix throws a hook but Rose blocks it.
Rose appears to be looking for a big counter.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Fenix crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rose - the referee stops the clock and Fenix gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rose. Fenix manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Nice uppercut lands for Rose. That snapped Fenix's head back.

The cut above Tristan Fenix's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fenix fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Axl Rose is winning the standup battle so far.
Rose cracks Fenix with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Fenix tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Rose pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Fenix is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Axl Rose!
An out of breath Axl Rose thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
