Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ken Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ken Masters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ray Shaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masters takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Masters throws a chopping leg kick but Shaw manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Masters tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Shaw is able to avoid easily.
Shaw closes the distance looking to clinch

and Masters counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Shaw trying to hold on to Masters's head to control him but Masters postures up.
Shaw slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Masters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shaw swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Masters is pushing down on Shaw's leg trying to pass to half guard. Shaw is fighting to maintain full guard but Masters has managed to sneak the leg through.

Masters is taking a breather. Shaw says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Shaw is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Masters scores with a couple of nice shots.

Masters is controlling the pace.
Masters looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Masters takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Masters winds up and cracks Shaw with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Shaw on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Still in half guard, Masters seems content to control.
Masters lands with a punch from half guard.

Masters takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Masters lands a nice short elbow.
Masters thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shaw's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shaw avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Masters.
Well, if Masters is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Shaw looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Masters looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Shaw on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Shaw has hold of Masters's hands but Masters slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Masters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masters is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Masters has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Masters lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Masters landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Masters is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Masters seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Masters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shaw can do to turn this around?
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Masters connects with a nice short shot to Shaw's temple.
Masters passes the guard and advances to mount!

BOOM! Masters connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Masters fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Shaw is bucking up trying to escape but Masters cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Whack. That's a big, big shot from Masters! Shaw is out cold! This one is all over!
