Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joan Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fentz Straterloo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joan Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fentz Straterloo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Straterloo gets the takedown into side control.
Wilson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Straterloo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Straterloo wants to control but Wilson is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilson is controlling Straterloo's trapped leg to prevent Straterloo from advancing to side control.
Straterloo throwing shots but Wilson is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilson is refusing to be controlled, as Straterloo sits in half guard.
Wilson is positioning himself well to prevent Straterloo advancing to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Straterloo throwing shots but Wilson is blocking nicely.
Wilson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Straterloo.
Wilson is concentrating on defense, preventing Straterloo from advancing position.
Straterloo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Wilson keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Wilson continues to stall.
Straterloo tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Wilson.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Straterloo throwing shots but Wilson is blocking nicely.

Straterloo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Straterloo gets caught napping as Wilson dives in and scores a takedown. Straterloo manages to retain guard.
Wilson throws a big right hand that misses.
Wilson distracts Straterloo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Straterloo controls Wilson momentarily but Wilson frees himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Straterloo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wilson is aware though and is defending well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Straterloo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wilson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Straterloo controls Wilson momentarily but Wilson frees himself.
Wilson throwing strikes but missing.
Straterloo has Wilson pulled in close to control his posture.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Wilson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Straterloo keeping moving, preventing Wilson from controlling successfully.
Wilson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Wilson gets caught flat footed, as Straterloo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilson is on top in guard.

Wilson throwing strikes but missing.
Wilson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Straterloo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joan Wilson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Straterloo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Straterloo showed some decent athleticism there.

Wilson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Straterloo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Wilson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!


Wilson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Oh Wilson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Straterloo closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Wilson! Straterloo dives in looking to finish! Wilson is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fentz Straterloo!
