Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Comanche Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marsden has chosen Feiticeira by Deftones as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Brandon Marsden has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsden fails in his attempt to clinch.

Comanche Todd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Todd moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Brandon Marsden has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Marsden has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Todd feints a jab promting Marsden to slip. Todd then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Marsden slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Todd takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Marsden decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been hearing good reports from Todd's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
