Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mick Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Left Cheek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheek slips a jab from Murphy.
Murphy misses with a body shot.
Cheek misses with a body shot.
Cheek's jab looks to have found its range, popping Murphy under the eye.
Murphy misses with a body shot.
Cheek takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Murphy lands a jab to the nose.
We've been told by Murphy's head coaches at Phoenix Fight Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Murphy misses with a straight left.
Murphy looks to land a left hand but Cheek moved out of range nicely.
Cheek misses with a lunging right hand
and Murphy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Cheek thinking.
Murphy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cheek was well out of range. Poor timing from Murphy.
Murphy misses the shot to the body.
Murphy throws a right hand that Cheek ducks under and follows up with a left that Cheek also avoids with ease.
Murphy swings for the body but Cheek moves out of range.
Murphy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cheek comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Cheek clobbers Murphy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Murphy misses with a looping right.
Cheek scores with a hook to the body. Murphy takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Cheek.
Murphy lands with a cross.
Cheek rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Murphy counters with a nice uppercut.
Cheek is rocked!
Left Cheek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murphy throws a jab when Cheek was well out of range.
Cheek is still on wobbly legs! Can Murphy finish him?
Murphy cracks Cheek with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cheek tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Murphy pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cheek is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mick Murphy!
