Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Devil Anse Hatfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Aires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bruno Aires!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatfield swings widly with a right hand
and Aires counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Devil Anse Hatfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Hatfield takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hatfield shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Aires as he jumps to the side.

and Aires counters with a stiff right hand.
Hatfield takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hatfield throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Aires sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hatfield chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Aires can pounce on him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hatfield looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Aires fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Hatfield to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Hatfield looks to clinch but Aires throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Hatfield taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Bruno Aires!
A relieved looking Bruno Aires thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
