Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricardo Castillo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimbo Slice!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo tries a head kick but it misses.
Slice rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Castillo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Slice throws a front kick aimed at Castillo's knee but Castillo avoids it well.
Castillo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Slice's sensitive parts.
Slice scores with a jab.


It looks like Ricardo Castillo has been cut.
Castillo scores with a decent looking hook.
Slice rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Castillo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Slice lands a slapping body shot.
Castillo misses with a body kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Slice. Castillo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Slice fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Castillo checks it well.
Slice moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Castillo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Slice swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
We've been informed that Slice has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Castillo throws a push kick but Slice slaps the foot to one side.
Castillo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Montreal Elite Gym in the buildup to the fight.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Castillo tries to bum rush Slice with a series of wild strikes but Slice uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Castillo on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Castillo throws a wild body kick that Slice sees coming a mile off.
Slice connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Castillo lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Slice is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Castillo.
Castillo is looking to counter the offense by Slice and move into the clinch.
Slice's jab looks to have found its range, popping Castillo under the eye.
Castillo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Slice checks the leg kick nicely there.
Castillo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Castillo throws a series of punches but Slice avoids them all with ease.
Slice throws a jab when Castillo was well out of range.
Slice throws a solid leg kick but Castillo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Slice.
Slice waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Castillo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Castillo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slice connects with a single shot there.
Castillo tries to score with a low kick but Slice moves his leg out of the way.
Castillo throws a sloppy head kick
and Castillo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Slice is looking to score with low kicks.
Slice ducks right into an uppercut from Castillo.
Slice ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Castillo moves away.
Castillo moves into range and connects with a jab.
Castillo on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Slice. Slice obviously looking to wear him down.
Castillo tries to clinch up
and Slice counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Castillo jabs at Slice's body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slice throws a front kick aimed at Castillo's knee but Castillo avoids it well.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Slice, as that shot connected.
Slice tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Castillo is able to avoid easily.
A big right from Slice misses.
Slice lands a nice looking body shot.
Castillo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Slice scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Castillo takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Castillo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Slice.
Slice pushes Castillo away with a front kick.
Castillo throws a body shot but no joy.
A little jabbing left from Slice on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Slice cracks Castillo on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Castillo falls backwards against the cage. Slice follows up with more strikes that drop Castillo to his knees. Slice keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Castillo! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kimbo Slice!
Kimbo Slice is the new heavyweight champion!
