Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Beltran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fitz Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Beltran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fitz Hall!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Beltran has Hall up against the cage in a clinch.

Hall looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

We've been hearing reports that Beltran has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Beltran is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Beltran is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hall doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Beltran.

Hall throws a good cross that connects.
Hall throws a right hand that Beltran ducks under and follows up with a left that Beltran also avoids with ease.
Hall lands with an uppercut that bounces Beltran off the cage and back into range.

Hall gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Beltran to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hall pushes Beltran off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hall lands with an overhand left.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Beltran will probably get the nod.

Hall might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Beltran tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beltran has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Beltran is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Beltran decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hall to his feet.
Hall pivots, looking for a leg kick but Beltran is out of range and Hall settles back down.

Fitz Hall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Beltran tries to clinch up but Hall circles away and keeps his distance.
Hall jabs Beltran right on the nose. Beltran blinks but takes it well.
Hall fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Beltran is out of range.
Hall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Beltran tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hall manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hall fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beltran was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Beltran takes one on the button.
Beltran takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Beltran takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hall bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Beltran's head backwards.

Hall pivots, looking for a leg kick but Beltran is out of range and Hall settles back down.
Oh Beltran is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Beltran tries to clinch up but Hall circles away and keeps his distance.

Hall cracks Beltran with a hook to the temple - Beltran is on wobbly legs here! Hall swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Beltran falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Hall wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Fitz Hall!
After the fight, Fitz Hall was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
