Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lachlan Cassidy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 2, fighting out of London, Lorne Greenebaum!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassidy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Greenebaum darts in looking for a takedown but Cassidy gets double underhooks and turns Greenebaum into the cage.
Greenebaum uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cassidy.
Greenebaum tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Cassidy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cassidy wants it to stay on the feet.
Cassidy misses with an uppercut. Greenebaum saw that one coming.

Greenebaum has taken the fight to the clinch.
Greenebaum has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cassidy after a bit of a struggle.
Lachlan Cassidy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lorne Greenebaum.

Cassidy is pressed up against the cage. Greenebaum has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cassidy down to the mat. Cassidy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

We've been told by Cassidy's head coaches at Ryōzanpaku Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Greenebaum shoots for a double leg takedown but Cassidy sprawls well. He's pushed Greenebaum's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cassidy throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Greenebaum shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cassidy but Cassidy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Greenebaum counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cassidy won't be happy with that.

Greenebaum goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cassidy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Greenebaum but great work by Cassidy.
Greenebaum seems a little lost for a moment, as Cassidy dominates the positioning.

Greenebaum shoots in looking for a takedown but Cassidy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Greenebaum's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Greenebaum throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cassidy's waist but Cassidy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Greenebaum off to one side.

Greenebaum shoots in for a takedown but Cassidy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Greenebaum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Greenebaum bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cassidy, as that shot connected.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Greenebaum shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cassidy sprawls well. Cassidy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Greenebaum gets slowly back to his feet.

Greenebaum is rocked!
Cassidy steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Greenebaum is out on his feet! Cassidy sets himself and nearly takes Greenebaum's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Lachlan Cassidy!
An out of breath Lachlan Cassidy thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
