Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jerrold Bentley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orulop Gojibu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jerrold Bentley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Orulop Gojibu!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bentley shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gojibu throws a counter combo.
Gojibu thows a leg kick but Bentley checks it

and Bentley counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gojibu!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gojibu is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Bentley is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Bentley controlling the position easily from mount.
Gojibu working to try and regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bentley content just to control the position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gojibu is trying desperately to improve position.

Gojibu tries to hold on but Bentley postures up.
Bentley controlling the pace for now.
Gojibu wants to control but Bentley is having none of it.
Gojibu is in all sorts of trouble here.
Bentley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Gojibu is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Bentley looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gojibu wants to control but Bentley is having none of it.
Bentley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gojibu is bucking up trying to escape but Bentley cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Gojibu can't escape the position.
Gojibu sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gojibu makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gojibu.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bentley's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bentley stopping the sweep attempt from Gojibu.
Gojibu is trying to control the position but Bentley postures up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gojibu tries to strike from the bottom.
Bentley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bentley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gojibu pinned against the cage. Gojibu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Bentley rushes Gojibu and presses him up against the cage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bentley successfully pulls guard.
Bentley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bentley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gojibu has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bentley is proving hard to escape from.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bentley looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gojibu stands and throws Bentley's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bentley has one of Gojibu's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerrold Bentley dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Gojibu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gojibu wants it to stay on the feet.
Gojibu lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gojibu chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Gojibu has taken the fight to the clinch.

Gojibu is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bentley can't fight it off and eventually Gojibu manages to take the fight to the floor. Bentley looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bentley is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gojibu presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Gojibu tries to stall but Bentley uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Bentley pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Bentley is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Bentley has Gojibu pushed against the cage.
Gojibu blocks a body shot from Bentley.

The referee calls for Bentley to work.

Gojibu has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bentley is trying to keep an underhook but Gojibu manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Gojibu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bentley's head.

Bentley tries to lock up and control but Gojibu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Bentley is looking to get to half guard.
Bentley is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Gojibu has taken his back.
Bentley wants to control his opponent's hands but Gojibu gets his hands free.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gojibu wants to control but Bentley is keeping busy.
Gojibu has the hooks in. Bentley is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Bentley manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gojibu's guard. Nice work there by Bentley.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gojibu has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bentley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gojibu.

Bentley scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Gojibu to see if he's OK.
Gojibu wants to get back to his feet but Bentley drags him back down.
Bentley lands an elbow.
Gojibu managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bentley.
A control attempt from Gojibu but he's now mounted!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bentley content just to control the position here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bentley cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Bentley cracks Gojibu with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Orulop Gojibu will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Bentley gets a double leg takedown into Gojibu's guard.

Gojibu has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bentley is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Gojibu has had enough of the clinch but Bentley keeps him there for the moment.
Gojibu wants to get back to striking at distance but Bentley won't allow it.
Bentley wants to take the fight to the mat but Gojibu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Bentley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bentley pulls Gojibu in close to prevent any damage.
Gojibu tries to stand but Bentley is controlling from the bottom.
Bentley controls Gojibu momentarily but Gojibu frees himself.
Bentley keeping moving, preventing Gojibu from controlling successfully.

Gojibu throwing strikes but missing.
Bentley trying to keep a closed guard but Gojibu is proving a slippery customer.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gojibu wants to pass the guard but Bentley is keeping the position.
Gojibu wants to stand but Bentley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Orulop Gojibu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bentley fails with the takedown.
Gojibu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bentley manages to avoid it.
Gojibu falls off balance throwing a combination

and Bentley counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gojibu won't be happy with that.
Gojibu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bentley has control of an arm but Gojibu manages to advance to Bentley's back!
Gojibu is hanging on to Bentley's back as he tries to escape.

Gojibu really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Bentley.
Jerrold Bentley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bentley looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Bentley manages to reverse the position and now he's in Gojibu's guard. Nice work there by Bentley.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bentley is trying to ground and pound but Gojibu uses the momentary lack of control by Bentley to regain half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bentley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Gojibu looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bentley slows the pace down in half guard.
Bentley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

I would just about give that final round to Orulop Gojibu.
I think Gojibu has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
