Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Rutherford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Deadwood. Thomas Hawk had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hawk scores with a hook to the body. Rutherford takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Hawk throws a hook to the side of Rutherford's head but Rutherford sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rutherford has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Thomas Rutherford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hawk has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hawk and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hawk creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hawk pushes Rutherford against the cage. Hawk is working some dirty boxing. Hawk pushes off with a quick right hook! Rutherford goes down! Rutherford tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Hawk moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Thomas Hawk really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Aspire Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
