Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Reco Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Next Episode by Dr. Dre kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Turner!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Turner throws a right hand that misses
and Penn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Penn connects with a leg kick. Turner looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Turner thows a left - swing and a miss!
Penn quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.

Turner throws a right hand that misses
and Turner takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Turner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Penn sees it coming and avoids it easily.

And Penn counters with a quick kick to the body but Turner blocks it.
Turner shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Penn defends it nicely.

We've been told by Penn's head coaches at Rabid Dog that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Turner is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Penn lands a leg kick that knocks Turner off balance momentarily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Penn enables Turner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Penn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Penn, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
