And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Cage!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Riverson was well out of range. Poor timing from Cage.
Cage misses with a few strikes there.

Cage gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cage is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Riverson is defending well for now.
Riverson tries for a takedown. No joy.

Riverson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cage fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Riverson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cage cracks Riverson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Cage has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Riverson to stand back up!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cage has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Riverson is working away from the top position though.
Riverson moves into full mount! Cage won't be happy about that!

Riverson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cage is now in Riverson's guard. A big mistake from Riverson there, giving up the dominant position!

Riverson circles away from the clinch attempt.

Cage clinches up with Riverson and pushes him back against the cage.
Riverson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Cage gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Cage tries to throw a body punch but Riverson avoids it by throwing Cage back against the cage.
Cage stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Riverson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cage misses with a knee strike.
Cage prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Riverson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cage tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Cage lands a body punch in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cage drops Riverson with a big knee straight up the middle! Riverson is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Riverson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cage takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Riverson is off balance and as he stumbles, Cage throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Riverson's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Luke Cage!
Luke Cage tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
