Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leeland Lillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skeng Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leeland Lillard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Skeng Man!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man is looking to clinch but Lillard is avoiding it.
Lillard throws a combination that misses

and Man counters with a shoot takedown. Lillard fights it but they end up in guard.
Lillard is trying to keep Man in close.
Man in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Man has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Lillard has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Man throws an elbow that misses. Lillard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Man's guard. Nice move by Lillard!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man has an active guard here but Lillard has managed to pass into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Man looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Lillard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Man actively working from the bottom here.
Lillard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Man is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lillard pulls his head out easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Man looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Man tries to roll over but Lillard keeps him under control.
Man keeps trying to improve his position.

Man looking for a kimura from the bottom but Lillard passes into side control!
Man tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lillard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Man looking for a sweep but Lillard has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man is working to get back to half guard.
Man sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Lillard seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Man is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lillard jumps into side control!
Lillard controls the position.
Man wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Man is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Man is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lillard off and has taken his back!
Man not allowing Lillard to control his hands.

Man working for a choke but Lillard is defending well.
Lillard trying to control but not successfully.

Man looking for the choke from the back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Man has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lillard has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Man looking to break Lillard's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Lillard remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Man will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Skeng Man dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Man throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lillard's waist but Lillard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Man off to one side.
Lillard lands a jab to the nose.

Lillard lands a big head kick that sends Man tumbling to the mat! Lillard takes a step backwards and waves Man back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Man is rocked!
Lillard lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Man falls backwards - clearly groggy! Lillard dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leeland Lillard!
Leeland Lillard thanked the fans post fight for their support.
